Privacy Policy

Who we are

Furrus is operated by Furrus App, based in Vilnius, Lithuania. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For anything privacy-related, write to support@furrus.app. This policy is governed by Lithuanian and EU law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

We collect the following, grouped by kind:

• Account data: your email address and name.
• Dog profile: your dog's name, breed, birth date, sex, weight, personality traits, training goals, and any photos you choose to add.
• Training and care data: training and care logs, notes, diary entries, and messages you exchange with the in-app companion.
• Subscription data: your plan and billing status (the card details themselves are held by Stripe, never by us).
• Technical data: device and browser type, timezone, and approximate country derived from your IP address.
• Acquisition data: UTM parameters, ad click identifiers, and referrer information, used to understand how people find Furrus.

Why we process it

• Performance of our contract with you: account, dog profile, logs and subscription data, so the app can function and you can use the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests: technical data, to keep the service secure, debug problems and understand product usage in aggregate.
• Consent: advertising measurement and non-essential analytics cookies, which you can decline or later withdraw (see our Cookie Policy).
• Legal obligation: billing records, which accounting law requires us to keep for a set period.

The in-app companion and AI

The in-app companion generates guidance and suggestions using your dog's profile and the logs you enter. This guidance is not veterinary advice and never replaces a licensed vet or a qualified behaviourist. If your dog is unwell, injured, or in a genuine emergency, contact a vet directly rather than relying on the app.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted processors, each bound by a data processing agreement:

• Lovable Cloud (EU) — hosting, database, authentication and file storage for the app itself.
• Stripe — payment processing, including your card details, which Stripe holds and we never see or store.
• PostHog — product analytics, to understand how the app is used.
• Meta / Facebook — advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API.
• Google — used only if you choose "Sign in with Google" as your authentication method.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

International transfers

Some of our processors operate outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to keep your data protected to an equivalent standard.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account erases your data immediately and irreversibly, including the login itself. Billing records are kept for the period required by accounting law. Backups roll off automatically within 30 days.

Security

We rely on infrastructure providers who encrypt data in transit and at rest, restrict internal access, and are contractually bound to protect it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard steps to keep your data safe.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you can ask us to:

• give you access to the personal data we hold about you,
• correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete,
• erase your data,
• restrict or object to certain processing,
• receive your data in a portable format,
• withdraw consent at any time, where processing relies on consent.

Use our data request page or write to support@furrus.app. You can also lodge a complaint with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija) if you believe your rights have been infringed.

Children

Furrus is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app or the law changes. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of the page.
